About CBP Architects

Our guiding principle is cooperation and teamwork. In order to provide a building solution, a strong working relationship with our Clients is fundamental. Listening, absorbing, understanding and communication are our aims through every step of the project from inception to conclusion.

Our belief in collaboration with Client, Consultant or Contractor encourages a natural progression through the development of any project and delivers a response that captures both the essence and detail that is required.

Our experienced team of professionals are creative, responsive and free thinking. We work with you to interrogate the brief and provide a successful solution. Our vision is to shape our Client's future for the better.

Design aims...

We seek out the latest advances in technology and materials to create landmark modern buildings, refurbishments or conversions that deal sensitively with planning, as well as listed building and conservation issues, but we don’t lose sight of the economic factors involved throughout the design and on-site process.

We understand our Client's projects are unique. Our role is not only as Architects but also as Project Managers working in collaboration with all our Clients to ensure that the project runs efficiently, economically and effectively. This philosophy extends from partnering with all parties to presenting a unified team to every individual project.

The building process...

Our team's expertise as Project Managers, Planning Supervisors and Party Wall Surveyors means that all elements of the building process can be monitored and safety ensured at every stage of development. We are committed to the art of architecture. Project size is not an issue.

Our aim is to meet the aspiration of our client to offer dynamic and diverse design within the constraints that we face, from budget to locale. CBP will make sure that the design process is an inclusive process; we know collaboration is the only true route to the most rewarding results.

Our Computer Technology...

We retain cutting edge CAD technology. We are therefore able to offer visual models at every stage of the project. The expertise we hold in internal and external images, fly-through's and integrated technical drawings provide the client with the opportunity of actually visualising the project before it is built.

Quality Control

CBP operates a Quality Management System that is equating to BS EN ISO 9001:1994 to demonstrate to our clients that we have the capability and expertise to provide a professional Architectural Project Management Service. The systems include identification requirements as follows:

  • Client's requirements
  • Planning the work effectively and efficiently
  • Carrying out all work in a controlled manner
  • Checking work prior to release
  • Monitoring CBP performance in order to identify how improvements can be made in the quality of service provided and effectiveness of the system
  • Providing objective evidence that the above is achieved

The Quality System is set out in the following documents which together make up the Quality Systems Manual:

  • Quality Manual which sets out our Company's Quality System meets the specific requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 1944
  • Administration Procedures for the general management of the Company and the Quality System
  • Technical Procedures identifying the basic work active through the company
  • The office is fully supported by CAD and IT Technology resources
  • The Design and Technical staff are supported by Adminstration staff

Policy Statement

We believe the descriptions and systems outlined on this website reinforce our commitment to the art of architecture. By continually encompassing client aspirations to develop the brief in partnership with the design team whilst maintaining close relationships with the end users at all stages of the building process from inception to completion, we believe a cohesive functional building will be achieved.<

CBP environment policy is to strive to minimise adverse effects on the environment in both our professional product and internal office system.

  • Control and regular review of our specification for our building products
  • Appropriate purchase and use of re-cycled consumables and environmentally friendly products
  • To influence other to support Care for the Environment
  • To ensure all materials are supplied from renewable sources
  • To ensure the building envelope and support systems comply to the regulations and explore potential to exceed these minimum requirement

Disabled Access Consultancy Experience

As a Practice we have always appreciated the importance of correct interpretation of the many Building Regulations, in particular, disabled access.

We believe from the positive feedback we have received, that the current partnering scheme with Nottingham County Council is proving extremely successful which is of great importance to the future development of these key relationships with both Local Authorities and Special Building Contractors.

This current access is largely down to the experienced technical staff within the Practice but also working closely with the Client, Main Contractor and end users allows the design of a solution that not only satisfies the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, British Standard 8300, and the current Building Regulations but also satisfies the often demanding criteria of those that have to use the building on a daily basis.
